For Children:
AUTHOR PRESENTATION
Children's author Marsha Hayles shares her enthusiasm for reading and writing in her lively presentations for young people. Children will learn tips about the writing process, sing a song about how a picture book gets made, and listen to stories read by the author. 
Presentation length and focus can be varied for to accommodate different age groups from Preschool to Grade 6.

MEET THE CHARACTERS!
Marsha Hayles uses her latest picture book BUNION BURT to talk to kids about creating characters in stories. Her interactive presentation will have kids laughing as they learn about the creative process and how a picture book gets made—from sore feet to a story!

A NOVEL EXPERIENCE
Marsha Hayles takes students through the writing process in a presentation that taps her own novel experience as the author of the upcoming book BREATHING ROOM. Young writers will gain insight into how real experiences can enrich their abilities to create fiction. 

PAJAMA PARTY:
Invite Marsha Hayles to come to your class pajama party. She’ll wear her pajamas, lead the group in fun pajama activities, and read her perfect pajama book PAJAMAS ANYTIME. Along the way she’ll share some secrets about her picture books and how they got made. TIME FOR PAJAMAS!
Author Visit Guidelines:
45-55 minute sessions; maximum of four sessions per day; travel outside of the Rochester, NY, 
area requires reimbursement of travel expenses.
